- 1 cup water

- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the vanilla cake mix according to package instructions using water, oil, and eggs.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Once baked, let the cake cool for 10 minutes.
- Using the end of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the top of the cake.
- In a separate bowl, dissolve the strawberry jello in 2 cups of boiling water, then stir in 1 cup of cold water.
- Pour the jello mixture over the cake, ensuring it seeps into the holes.
- Refrigerate the cake for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Before serving, spread whipped topping over the cake and garnish with fresh strawberries.
