Description

Coquito is a traditional Puerto Rican drink made with coconut milk, rum, and spices, perfect for the holiday season.


Ingredients

  • 1 can (13.5 oz) coconut milk
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup white rum
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine coconut milk, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and white rum.
  2. Add vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt to the blender.
  3. Blend on high until all ingredients are well combined and smooth.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness or spice levels if desired.
  5. Pour the mixture into a bottle or jar and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  6. Serve chilled, shaking well before pouring into glasses.

Notes

  • Coquito can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit the rum.
