Description
A delicious and easy method to cook steak that results in a perfectly tender and juicy piece of meat, topped with a flavorful garlic herb butter.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ribeye steaks (1.5 inches thick)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
- Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper.
- Place the steaks on a wire rack over a baking sheet and cook in the oven until they reach an internal temperature of 125°F (52°C) for medium-rare.
- Remove the steaks from the oven and let them rest for 10 minutes.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over high heat. Sear the steaks for 1-2 minutes on each side until a crust forms.
- In the last minute of cooking, add the butter, garlic, and herbs to the skillet, basting the steaks with the melted butter.
- Remove from heat and let the steaks rest for another 5 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with the garlic herb butter drizzled on top.
Notes
- For best results, use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature.
- Let the steaks rest to allow the juices to redistribute.
- Feel free to customize the herbs based on your preference.
