Description

Deliciously tender and flavorful St. Louis ribs cooked in the oven and finished on the grill for a perfect BBQ experience.


Ingredients

  • 2 racks St. Louis ribs
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper.
  4. Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs.
  5. Place the ribs on a baking sheet and cover with aluminum foil.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours.
  7. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  8. Remove the ribs from the oven and brush with BBQ sauce.
  9. Grill the ribs for 5-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until caramelized.
  10. Serve hot with additional BBQ sauce on the side.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the ribs overnight with the spice rub.
  • Adjust the level of cayenne pepper based on your spice preference.
  • Make sure to keep an eye on the ribs while grilling to prevent burning.
