Ingredients

  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Soak the matzo sheets in warm water for about 5 minutes until softened.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  5. Layer 2 sheets of soaked matzo over the sauce.
  6. Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the matzo.
  7. Add a layer of marinara sauce and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  8. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients, finishing with marinara sauce and mozzarella on top.
  9. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  11. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
