Ingredients

  • 250g all-purpose flour
  • 150ml warm water
  • 1 packet (7g) dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 50g butter, melted
  • 1 liter water
  • 50g baking soda
  • Coarse sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, melted butter, and salt to the yeast mixture. Knead until smooth.
  3. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
  5. Divide the dough into small balls and shape them into burger buns.
  6. In a pot, bring 1 liter of water to a boil and add baking soda.
  7. Boil each bun for about 30 seconds, then remove and place on a baking sheet.
  8. Sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving.
