- 12 oz ziti pasta
- 1 lb ground turkey or chicken
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- In a skillet, cook the ground turkey or chicken over medium heat until browned.
- Add the marinara sauce to the skillet and stir to combine.
- In a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- In a large baking dish, layer half of the cooked ziti, followed by the meat sauce, ricotta mixture, and half of the mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ziti, meat sauce, and top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
