- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water over medium heat.
- Stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Add the fresh cranberries to the saucepan and simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Remove the cranberries from the heat and let them cool in the syrup for 1 hour.
- Drain the cranberries and roll them in the additional 1/2 cup of granulated sugar until well coated.
- Spread the sugared cranberries on a baking sheet to dry for at least 1 hour.
