- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 sandwich buns
- 1 cup lettuce
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
- 1 tbsp sriracha sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Coat the shrimp in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Place the coated shrimp in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- In a separate bowl, mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha to make the ‘Bang Bang’ sauce.
- Assemble the sandwiches by placing lettuce on the bun, adding crispy shrimp, and drizzling with ‘Bang Bang’ sauce.
- Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust the spiciness of the sauce by adding more or less sriracha.
- For a healthier option, you can bake the shrimp instead of air frying.
- Serve with a side of fries or a salad for a complete meal.
