- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter until well combined.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and pumpkin spice.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- If desired, fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate cocoa powder.
