Description

A delicious and unique way to prepare salmon, infused with the flavors of maple and mustard, cooked on a cedar plank for a smoky taste.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb salmon fillet
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cedar plank (soaked in water for at least 1 hour)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium heat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Place the soaked cedar plank on the grill and close the lid for about 5 minutes until it starts to smoke.
  4. Place the salmon fillet on the cedar plank, skin side down.
  5. Brush the maple mustard glaze generously over the salmon.
  6. Close the grill lid and cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Remove from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Make sure to soak the cedar plank for at least 1 hour to prevent it from burning.
  • This dish pairs well with grilled vegetables or a fresh salad.
  • Adjust the sweetness of the glaze by adding more or less maple syrup according to your taste.
