- 4 cups of stale bread, cubed
- 2 cups of fresh blackberries
- 2 cups of milk
- 1 cup of sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/4 cup of butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the cubed bread and blackberries.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and melted butter.
- Pour the milk mixture over the bread and blackberries, ensuring everything is well coated.
- Let it sit for 15 minutes to allow the bread to soak up the mixture.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
