Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, water, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.

- Slowly add the cornstarch mixture to the sugar syrup, stirring constantly.
- Continue to cook, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens and pulls away from the sides of the pan.
- Remove from heat and stir in rosewater or orange blossom water and nuts if using.
- Pour the mixture into a greased pan and let it cool completely.
- Once set, cut into squares and dust with powdered sugar to prevent sticking.
