Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk and let it sit for about 5 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add the melted butter, eggs, and yeast mixture to the dry ingredients.
- Knead the dough until smooth and elastic, about 5-7 minutes.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Punch down the dough and shape it into rolls.
- Place the rolls on a greased baking sheet and let them rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Brush with melted butter before serving.
Notes
- For a sweeter roll, increase the sugar to 3/4 cup.
- These rolls can be frozen after baking; reheat in the oven before serving.
