- 3–4 pounds beef chuck roast
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 8–10 hoagie rolls
- Provolone cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Place the beef chuck roast in the crockpot.
- In a bowl, mix together the onion soup mix, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- Pour the mixture over the roast in the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the meat is tender.
- Remove the roast from the crockpot and shred it with two forks.
- Return the shredded beef to the crockpot and stir to combine with the juices.
- Serve the beef on hoagie rolls, topped with provolone cheese if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add sliced onions and bell peppers to the crockpot.
- Serve with a side of au jus for dipping.
- This recipe can be made a day in advance and reheated.
