  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Peel and slice the sweet potatoes into rounds.
  3. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
  4. Add the brown sugar, water, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract to the pot, stirring until combined.
  5. Add the sweet potato slices to the pot and stir to coat them in the syrup.
  6. Transfer the sweet potatoes and syrup to a baking dish.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, basting occasionally with the syrup.
