Description

Delicious smoky roasted cabbage wedges glazed with miso and topped with sesame seeds, perfect as a side dish or a healthy snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 head of green cabbage
  • 2 tablespoons miso paste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut the cabbage into wedges and place them on a baking sheet.
  3. In a bowl, mix together miso paste, olive oil, soy sauce, maple syrup, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Brush the miso glaze generously over the cabbage wedges.
  5. Roast in the oven for 25-30 minutes until the edges are crispy and the cabbage is tender.
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add garlic or ginger to the miso glaze.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup.
  • Serve with a squeeze of lemon for added brightness.
