  • 1 cup carrots, sliced
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 cup onion, chopped

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 cups biscuit dough (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  2. Add the carrots, celery, onion, chicken broth, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stir in the cream of chicken soup until well combined.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through.
  5. Remove the chicken, shred it, and return it to the slow cooker.
  6. Stir in the frozen peas.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of biscuit dough on top of the mixture.
  8. Cover and cook on high for an additional 30 minutes, until the dumplings are cooked through.
