Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Secret ingredient: 1/2 cup of cooked and crumbled bacon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground meat over medium heat until browned.
  3. Add the onion, carrots, and garlic, cooking until softened.
  4. Stir in the tomato paste, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and secret ingredient (bacon). Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Mix in the frozen peas and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Spread the meat mixture in a baking dish.
