- 4 cups apple cider
- 1 cup cranberry juice
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice
- 1 cup black food coloring (optional)
- Apple slices for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine apple cider, cranberry juice, and orange juice.
- Add brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and allspice to the pot.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
- If using, stir in black food coloring to achieve the desired ‘poisoned’ effect.
- Let the cider simmer for 10-15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve hot, garnished with apple slices.
Notes
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
- For a spicier flavor, add more cinnamon or cloves.
