Mardi Gras King Cake Bites are a delightful and festive treat inspired by the traditional King Cake, perfect for celebrating Mardi Gras.
Ingredients

- 1 package of crescent roll dough
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup cinnamon sugar
- 1/4 cup colored sugar (purple, green, and gold)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture on the wide end of each triangle.
- Sprinkle a little cinnamon sugar on top of the cream cheese mixture.
- Roll up the dough from the wide end to the point, sealing the edges.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Once cooled, drizzle with icing and sprinkle with colored sugar.
Notes
- For a more traditional flavor, consider adding a small piece of plastic baby inside one of the bites.
- These bites can be served warm or at room temperature.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
