  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp paprika

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Stir in the flour, salt, pepper, and paprika until smooth.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk, cooking until the mixture thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar and Parmesan cheese until melted.
  6. Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and mix well.
  7. Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes, or until bubbly.
