- 2 slices of crusty bread
- 8 oz prime rib steak, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup sautéed onions
- 1/2 cup sautéed mushrooms
- 4 slices of provolone cheese
- 2 tbsp horseradish sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season the prime rib steak slices with salt and pepper.
- Grill or sear the steak slices for about 2-3 minutes on each side until heated through.
- In a separate pan, sauté the onions and mushrooms until they are soft and caramelized.
- Spread horseradish sauce on one side of each slice of bread.
- Layer the steak, sautéed onions, mushrooms, and provolone cheese on one slice of bread.
- Top with the other slice of bread and grill the sandwich until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Slice in half and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the steak overnight.
- Feel free to add other toppings like arugula or roasted red peppers.
