- 2 pounds flank steak
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- Olive oil for searing
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Lay the flank steak flat and pound it to an even thickness.
- In a bowl, mix together breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the steak.
- Roll the steak tightly and secure it with kitchen twine.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the rolled steak on all sides until browned.
- Transfer the seared braciole to a baking dish and pour marinara sauce and beef broth over it.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 1.5 to 2 hours until tender.
- Remove from the oven, let it rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve.
Notes
- For added flavor, you can include sliced provolone cheese in the filling.
- Serve with pasta or crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
