Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups of stale bread, cubed
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup of raisins (optional)

  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream (for caramel sauce)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  4. Mix the egg mixture into the soaked bread mixture until well combined.
  5. If using, fold in the raisins.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. While the pudding is baking, prepare the whiskey caramel sauce by melting the brown sugar and butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  9. Once melted, carefully stir in the heavy cream and whiskey, and let it simmer for a few minutes until thickened.
  10. Serve the bread pudding warm, drizzled with whiskey caramel sauce.
