- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups of milk
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 3/4 cup of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of whiskey
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Butter the bread slices on one side and layer them in a greased baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
- Pour the custard mixture over the layered bread, ensuring all pieces are soaked.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until the top is golden and the custard is set.
- For the whiskey sauce, combine whiskey and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
- Serve the pudding warm with the whiskey sauce drizzled on top.
Notes
- Use stale bread for better absorption of the custard.
