Halloween Brookies are a delightful combination of brownies and cookies, perfect for celebrating the spooky season.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Halloween-themed sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and half of the Halloween sprinkles.
  7. Spread half of the batter into the prepared baking pan.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough on top of the brownie layer, then spread the remaining brownie batter over the cookie dough.
  9. Sprinkle the remaining Halloween sprinkles on top.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  11. Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
