- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm water
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 apples, peeled and diced
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the sourdough starter, warm water, and sugar. Mix well.
- Add the flour, olive oil, and salt to the mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Once risen, gently fold in the diced apples, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
- Spread the dough onto a greased baking sheet, creating dimples with your fingers.
- Let the dough rest for another 30 minutes.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly, then drizzle with powdered sugar glaze before serving.
