Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, carrots)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the beef slices with cornstarch, soy sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the skillet and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the remaining oil, garlic, and ginger. Sauté for 30 seconds.
  5. Add the mixed vegetables and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  6. Return the beef to the skillet, add oyster sauce, and stir everything together for another 2 minutes.
  7. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • Feel free to use any vegetables you have on hand.
  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes or sriracha.
  • This dish can be made gluten-free by using tamari instead of soy sauce.
