Description
Easter Egg Oreo Truffles are a delightful and festive treat perfect for celebrating the holiday. These no-bake truffles are made with crushed Oreos and cream cheese, coated in chocolate, and decorated to resemble Easter eggs.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package Oreo cookies (about 36 cookies)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup chocolate chips (for coating)
- 1 cup white chocolate chips (for decoration)
- Food coloring (optional)
- Sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a zip-top bag and crushing them with a rolling pin.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos and softened cream cheese until well blended.
- Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Chill the truffles in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to firm up.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
- Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off, and place them back on the parchment paper.
- Melt the white chocolate chips and add food coloring if desired. Drizzle over the chocolate-coated truffles for decoration.
- Sprinkle with additional decorations if desired and let the truffles set at room temperature or in the fridge.
Notes
- For a fun twist, try using different flavored Oreos.
- Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
- These truffles can be made ahead of time and frozen for later use.
