Description

Easter Egg Oreo Truffles are a delightful and festive treat perfect for celebrating the holiday. These no-bake truffles are made with crushed Oreos and cream cheese, coated in chocolate, and decorated to resemble Easter eggs.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package Oreo cookies (about 36 cookies)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (for coating)
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips (for decoration)
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a zip-top bag and crushing them with a rolling pin.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos and softened cream cheese until well blended.
  3. Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Chill the truffles in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to firm up.
  5. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
  6. Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off, and place them back on the parchment paper.
  7. Melt the white chocolate chips and add food coloring if desired. Drizzle over the chocolate-coated truffles for decoration.
  8. Sprinkle with additional decorations if desired and let the truffles set at room temperature or in the fridge.

Notes

  • For a fun twist, try using different flavored Oreos.
  • Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • These truffles can be made ahead of time and frozen for later use.
