- 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 2 ripe pears, cored and sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)
- Fresh thyme for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts and pear slices with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the mixture evenly on a baking sheet.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts are tender and caramelized.
- If using, add chopped walnuts in the last 5 minutes of roasting.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh thyme before serving.
Notes
- For a sweeter flavor, use a sweeter variety of pears.
- Can be served warm or at room temperature.
