Halloween witch fingers that will surprise everyone!
Ingredients

- 1 cup of butter, softened
- 1 cup of powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 2 3/4 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- Almonds (for fingernails)
- Red food coloring (for blood)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until well combined.
- Shape the dough into finger shapes and place them on a baking sheet.
- Press an almond into the tip of each finger to create a fingernail.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until lightly golden.
- Once cooled, use red food coloring to add ‘blood’ around the almond fingernails.
Notes
- Make sure the dough is not too sticky; if it is, add a little more flour.
- These cookies can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
- For a spooky effect, you can add more food coloring to the dough.
