- 1 medium head of cabbage, chopped
- 4 slices of bacon, chopped
- 1 large sweet onion, sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy.
- Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the skillet.
- Add the sliced sweet onion to the skillet and sauté until translucent.
- Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet and stir well to combine with the onions and bacon drippings.
- Cook the cabbage for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it is tender and slightly crispy.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Return the crispy bacon to the skillet and mix well before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add garlic or red pepper flakes.
