  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the heavy cream until the dough is smooth.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  10. Sprinkle a thin layer of granulated sugar on top of each cookie and use a kitchen torch to caramelize the sugar until golden and crispy.
