Instructions
- Rinse the black eyed peas and soak them in water overnight.
- In a large pot, combine the soaked peas, water, onion, garlic, and bay leaf.

- Remove the bay leaf and stir in the heavy cream, butter, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
