A delicious twist on the classic grilled cheese, featuring corned beef and cabbage for a cozy holiday sandwich.
Ingredients

- 2 slices of rye bread
- 4 oz corned beef, sliced
- 1/2 cup sauerkraut, drained
- 2 slices of Swiss cheese
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Butter one side of each slice of rye bread.
- On the unbuttered side, layer the corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese.
- Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in the skillet.
- Cook until the bread is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes, then flip and cook the other side until golden and the cheese is melted.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a dollop of mustard inside the sandwich.
- Serve with a side of pickles for a classic pairing.
