Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (Swiss or provolone)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add the sliced onions and garlic to the skillet, cooking until the onions are soft and translucent.
  3. Stir in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Place the beef mixture on the hamburger buns and top with shredded cheese.
  6. Bake in the oven for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
