Instructions
- Peel and cut the potatoes into fries, then soak them in cold water for 30 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
- Gradually whisk in the beer until the batter is smooth.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Dip the fish fillets into the batter, allowing excess to drip off.
- Carefully place the battered fish into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes.
- Remove the fish and drain on paper towels.
- Fry the soaked potatoes until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
- Season fries with salt and serve alongside the fish.
