  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  3. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.

  6. If desired, transfer to a baking dish, top with breadcrumbs, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
