Description
A quick and easy recipe for beef with broccoli that tastes better than takeout and can be made in just 20 minutes.

- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining oil, garlic, and ginger. Sauté for 30 seconds.
- Add the broccoli and beef broth, cover, and steam for 2-3 minutes until the broccoli is tender.
- Return the beef to the skillet, stir to combine, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Serve over cooked rice.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes.
- Feel free to substitute chicken or tofu for the beef.
- Make sure to slice the beef thinly for quick cooking.
