Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, melted butter, egg, red food coloring, and vanilla extract.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients until a dough forms.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle.
- Spread melted butter over the dough and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for 30 minutes.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- While baking, prepare the cream cheese frosting by mixing cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Once the rolls are baked, let them cool slightly and then spread the frosting on top.
