Description
Delicious heart-shaped donuts made in an air fryer, topped with a sweet pink glaze.
Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1–2 drops red food coloring
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Transfer the batter to a piping bag and pipe heart shapes onto parchment paper cut to fit the air fryer basket.
- Place the parchment paper with the donuts in the air fryer basket and cook for 5-6 minutes.
- While the donuts are cooking, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and food coloring in a bowl.
- Once the donuts are done, let them cool slightly before dipping them in the glaze.
- Allow the glaze to set before serving.
Notes
- Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket.
- Adjust the food coloring to achieve your desired shade of pink.
- These donuts are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for a day or two.
