Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 12 drops red food coloring

  2. In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Transfer the batter to a piping bag and pipe heart shapes onto parchment paper cut to fit the air fryer basket.
  6. Place the parchment paper with the donuts in the air fryer basket and cook for 5-6 minutes.
  7. While the donuts are cooking, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and food coloring in a bowl.

  9. Allow the glaze to set before serving.

Notes
